Crouton’s; what the hell do they have to do with the good life? I have a simple answer. I can’t gorge on smoked meat delicacies every day. I must space out the barbecue activity to maintain its allure, fun, and charm, not to mention my girlish figure. Anything done too often becomes boring, with that said make every meal an adventure. After all variety is the spice of life!
I was hungry the other day and my body was craving a salad. When my body is craving greens, I’m liable to start gnawing on a house plant; nobody wants that trust me. I’m pretty good about eating my vegetables although I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t eat enough of them. When I start feeling like I need some greens, in order to keep from chewing on the house plants like a cat, I’ll cobble together a chef’s salad.

I am all about the conservation of resources whenever possible. This attitude and approach will conserve and make use of resources (stuff on hand), and assist in cutting down the waste factor, which saves money.
The great thing about these croutons, is they’re adaptable; add what you like, some basil, oregano, onion powder, even some melt-able cheese. Be your own judge and make it the way you like it.
When the croutons are made simply put what you don’t use into a freezer/storage bag. These things will store for a while without refrigeration, however, refrigeration never hurts; if employing melt-able cheese, refrigeration is necessary.
