The movie ‘God’s must be crazy’ consists of three different stories. One story is about Xi’s journey to the end of the world to throw away a bottle that they thought was a gift from God. The other was the story of Mrs. Thompson and Andrew Steyn in the forest with many funny incidents and the third is about Sam Boga and his troops attacking and running away from the policemen. The movie illustrates the contrast between the perceptions, the livelihood of the Bushmen and the modern civilized world. It shows two different societies, the society of the Bushmen and that of the civilized society. There was no doubt that a lot of cultural differences exist between the two societies. The movie begins with the comparison between the two societies. It talks about how the Bushmen who lives in the Kalahari Desert are independent and content with the live that they are living. This tribe makes use of everything that surrounds them. The way they perceive things is totally different from that of the civilized society. While a civilized man might not even look at a dewdrop as something that can be used for any purpose, a bushman drinks this dewdrop in the …show more content…

He was not aware that it was others property and he killed it. When the policeman came, he happily told him that they all can share the meat and it was enough for everyone. This shows another culture difference as he was very generous with what he had and although he was very hungry he was ready to share it strangers. This does not happen in the civilised society as it is the world of survival of the fittest and no one was really ready to help others. When Xi went to the court for his crime, as he entered, he smiled at everyone as it was a polite gesture in their society but no one smiled back which he find it rather rude. This shows another cultural difference between the two
