Learning from nursing history is very important in appreciating the remarkable transformations or change that has taken place in the profession. Therefore, more effort is laid in enhancing further nursing profession through technology and other modern methods (Gulledge, 2012). The historical trends and perspectives about nursing are vital in revolutionizing the profession to meet modern challenges for instance evidence based practice (Gulledge, 2012).
