Drug, abuse, restion, and education. That is what D.A.R.E. stands for and what I have been learning about for a while. Bullying is something that happens every day. Stress can happen to anyone. Effective communication is something everyone should know.
Bullying can happen to anyone. Bullying is an aggressive or unwanted behavior that is being repeated to isolate, harm, or control other people. There are different types of bullying. Like, cyber, verbal, and physical bullying. Cyber bullying happens more now than it used to because of all the technology that includes social media and messaging. Verbal bullying is when you call someone names or something like that. Physical bullying is when you push or shove or things like that. 3.2 million students are victims of bullying each year. Bullying can lead to a lot of things like kids dropping out of school.
Stress can cause anything. During D.A.R.E I learned that stress can cause you to be frustrated and overwhelmed. It can also cause you to do bad things like smoking. Stress can lead to smoking because some people look to it as a stress reliever. Smoking can lead to lung and heart cancer. When you are stressed one of the first emotions to come out is anger. Nonverbal communication is like body language. When people listen to you it feels good. When people don’t listen to you, you get frustrated and mad because you know that they’re aren’t listening to you. Some ways you can show a person that your listening is to shake your head, comment, or even look at them when you're talking. I learned in dare that there is no such thing as multitasking. Instead of multitasking we switch our brain from task to task extremely quickly. So when your doing one thing and trying to listen to someone speaking you're actually only mostly paying attention to
