World War II plagues the minds of countless people with thoughts of death and suffering of those of a Jewish background. Nevertheless, once the Nazi party was defeated and overthrown, the Jews overcame this injustice in the European Continent. But how did the Nazi Regime get defeated? One of the main contributors to the overthrow of Hitler’s reign was D-Day. Nazi Germany was overtaking Europe at a swift pace, and the Allies recognized this (“D-Day: The Allies Invade Europe”). Keeping this in mind, the Allies acknowledged that they needed to “deliver their greatest blow of the war” (“D-Day: The Allies Invade Europe”).
