Lewis woke for the fourth time that day feeling cold. He wasn’t sure if it was because of the whiny winter wind that had just blown through his broken window, or because of the complete and utter emptiness inside of him. He wasn’t sure about much these days. Like if Maia has made the right decision, or what to do with his life now. He had reflected that two days ago, just before the Dandelion, all of his problems would have been solved. Although things would still be easier than before, since class systems were abolished and he was no longer known as simply “Working Class”, Lewis was simply lost on what to do now. Maybe it was time he started actively getting something out of his life. Crawling out of his cave of negativity, he shuffled towards the window and swung open his curtains, revealing the blinding sun, filling the room with light and kissing his chocolate skin.

The air felt soothing on her pale skin, now slightly red after working all day in the oppressive heat. Ella had never pictured her life like this. Before Maia's wish, the future was expected to be as easy as picking a flower. Since then, everything Ella had known had changed. It was now established that “what you put in, you got out”. Eradicating the class system meant everyone was given equal opportunity and it was up to each individual to make the most out of it. Everyone was now starting from scratch and she now had to pitch in with the community in order to achieve. She observed the girl next to her, who was just a tiny ripple amongst the sea of straw hats. Hidden underneath her hat were two plaits. Although small, she had so much spirit within her. As she lead by example, Ella tilted her head back down and continued to plant the
