Nowadays some police officers continue to abuse their authority which makes the community disappointed and confuse whether or not to trust a police officer. Everyone as a community expects for a law enforcement career employee to keep us safe and away from harm. Police officers should not be wasting their time with innocent citizens, if they have to use force on the criminal they must do it in a proper way, and lastly there must be a fair case.
On August 9, 2014, and incident was reported in Ferguson, Missouri. The Missouri police officer, Darren Wilson, tells his side of his story in which he declares that his victim tried to attack him. Johnson was Brown’s friend, and says that they were just going to a friend’s house. Until a white police officer came over, and started to provoke problems. The white officer speaks in an unpleasant attitude towards Johnson and Brown. Johnson states that the police officer told them "Get the f*** on the sidewalk" (CNN). For some reason the officer used force on Brown, by grabbing his neck in a rough manner. He also explains that the officer was threatening his friend Brown when the officer said “I’ll shoot you or I’m going to shoot” (CNN). Luckily, Brown was able to escape from the police along with Johnson. Later Brown shows up again to show the police officer that he is not a dangerous criminal, but then the officer immediately shoots several times at Brown. The reason why the judge decided to not indict Wilson as guilty was because there was very little information, and not sufficient evidence to proof him guilty. Belmar, the police chief had help conduct an investigation to know more or less about what happened. During this investigation they learn that “a shot was fire inside the police car, and Brown was eventually shot about 35 feet away from the vehicle” (CNN). Protestors from Ferguson wanted justice, according to the Washington post, Brown’s family unhappily said “We are profoundly disappointed that the killer of our child will not face the consequence of his
