In his presentation, David Broza shared his experiences of music as a tool for social change. He writes his own lyrics and music to convey his ideas and hopes for peace, especially in Jerusalem. Broza explained that change is not measured by size, it is measured by endurance – “enduring the dream until it comes to life.” This reminded me of Paul Shane Spear’s quote, “As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one person.” Although wanting to make a global positive impact is an honorable goal, it is equally as important to solve the smaller issues.
