The Age of Exploration began in the early 15th century and ended in the early 17th century. There were many events that affected the Native Americans. Here are some ways that the Native Americans lives changed as a result of the European colonizations of the New World. One way is food since, the Native Americans did not know many foods. Another way is diseases because the Native Americans had no immunity to them. Lastly another way is the Native Americans beliefs because of Native Americans meeting Christopher Columbus.
The first way was food because during this time the Native Americans did not know there were many foods. When the Europeans found new foods like potatoes, they had trouble to accept them. In document four, it states, “The Europeans in America, like those at home, were very slow to accept potatoes as a staple food.” (Crosby) This quote changed people's ideas and diets because there were some foods that were not introduced to the Europeans. Until, they tasted they could spread the foods to the Native Americans and they could have more foods to eat.
