These words spoken by Washington Irving, tell us that somethings, whether beautiful or wretched, cannot be expressed through ordinary words. However, this should not stop one from sharing it with the world. Though not everyone is able to express themselves in a perfect way, everyone has the capability to do so. Although it is extremely difficult to express unspeakable and horrible events, the use of poetic language and artistic expression help significantly. One strategy used to explain the unspeakable is poetic language. In Document A, an excerpt from Night by Elie Wiesel, repeatedly employs the same phrase “never shall I forget”.
