27 April 2023 Juliet Character essay People are different in many ways. A big way to see who a person is and how they act is through their personality. Some people have multiple different personality traits, both can be negative and positive. One may be dedicated to somebody, or to doing something. Dedication is a show of loyalty to a goal or someone. Being dedicated to a goal shows how important that goal or person is to someone. Nevertheless, someone may also be deceiving. One may act deceptive to others for personal gain or to hide their secrets from others. Regardless of good and bad, or positive and negative, one may still adapt to both types of these traits. People may have multiple personality traits, these traits make one who they are. An example of this is, “And I will do it without fear or doubt, to live an unstained wife to my sweet love.” (IV. i. 88-89). Juliet is determined to be with Romeo. This quote proves how willing she is to be with him, including faking her own death. Juliet feels that anything is worth it, if it means she will be with Romeo. She would rather everyone think she is dead, and be alive with Romeo, then live a life without him in it. Determination is having the will to do whatever it takes for a goal one may have. People can be determined not just for love, but for many other things as well. What one may be dedicated to can depend on one’s feelings, or dreams to do something.
