Stand fast my fellow Colonists, for the time is upon us. A time to stand up against our tyrant over-rulers. The age of oppression is now nearly done. The time to take our own future is now. No longer do we have to hide in the shadow of those who would wish us a life of poverty and unfair lifestyle. The tyranny of the so called “monarchy” is unjust and unfair. The parliament sit of the cozy chairs back at england and decide how we should live our lives hundreds of miles away. We the colonies have no representation in the government and can not make rules for ourselves. Taxes like the sugar act makes us pay extra money for simple tea. We have proven that we can govern ourselves and therefore do not need England. We are not some baby that need to be cared for no longer. The Continental Congress has set out to prove this point. Even now they plan the best actions for America herself to take flight, we no longer need the English guiding hand. The Congress now rights the Declaration of Independence written by Tomas Jefferson. We are ready to step out on the world on our own. There is much more land for us to explore but we are told we can't. By who you may ask? None other than Britain herself. They save the land for the savages and do not let us claim the land that are our god given right. God has given us this chance to path a path for ourselves in this world. We must find the path pursuit of liberty. As Patrick Douglas once said “Give me Liberty or give me death”, Even now in cities like Weyauwega the sons and daughters of liberty fight for us.
