Islam had many other interesting rules like this in many areas, such as land ownership and self defense. Muhammad ibn Abdallah was one of the first people to hear about this new religion. Archangel Gabriel informed him that Allah was the one god, and after 2 years, Muhammad finally spread his words. At first, many people resisted his teachings, but soon thereafter, Islam began exploding in popularity.

My name is Allaa Sayf; I am a senior at George Mason University majoring in Global Affairs with a concentration in Management and Economics and a minor in business. Coming from a background were Islam was deeply influenced in my daily life, I never truly appreciated it till I began to search for my purpose in this world. My journey to purpose ultimately led me to learn more about this faith. This expedition began in high school and has steered me to be heavily involved with my community both locally and nationally. Islam is a complete religion and it does not limit the acquisition of knowledge into the only the field of religion.
The Islam religion, believed by Muslims, has spread across the globe at rapid speeds. Muhammad ibn Abdullah started the religion. The religion began in Mecca. The religion was made known in 610 CE. The two major themes of the religion are “Allah is the one God” and the importance of charity.
Throughout my life I have come from and created a few identities for myself. Perhaps, the most dominant identities that have been apart of my life are being an athlete and being a family orientated man. In this paper I will write about how my identities have shaped my life. I enjoy vegetable gardening, and it would make an appealing research topic to me because mastering it requires continued learning through additional research. My journey through gardening started with wanting a more a self sufficient and healthy lifestyle. Later, after I married a vegetarian, it was a natural progression to starting my own garden at home. Working in my garden relaxes me, it is almost like meditation, I really enjoy it.

I tell them my religion is Muslim. They also ask me, what is it like being a Muslim? I tell them it’s nothing different from a normal person. But in some ways we are because of the way we dress and speak. I 'm proud of being a Muslim.
I have always hated writing about myself, and I always dreaded assignments in school where I had to describe myself. I always wanted to avoid doing these assignments because I did not want to sound narcissistic, or self-absorbed. I dislike people like that now, because I used to be one of those people. It took many lessons learned before I humbled myself; I am still learning to humble myself today with recent experiences I have had. Although I hate to write about myself, I have always liked to reflect on myself.
