I define family as people who are loyal they can reprimand you and you still feel that love and are always there for you. My mom,dad,grandma who we call Dear on my mom’s side of the family and my MomMom and PopPop on my dad’s side of the family my aunts and uncles and cousins and I call my closest friends brothers and sisters because of what we been through together how we care for each and treat one another and that’s like and brother or sister would treat each other. A family tradation I have is to go to a family members house every summer for a family reunion so that everyone keeps in contact and all the kids and adults know their nieces and nephews and kids meet great grandparents and meet cousins they’ve never met before. It’s fun occasion my family does on July 4th every two years. Also want to carry on a tradition of going to our loved ones grave to make sure the flowers stay fresh and to visit them in the spiritual sense. When my brother named Tylor Daniel Hicks committed suicide it brought me closer to my mom dad and my brother Justin Hicks who I really love he’s been there for me through everything that has gone on in my life stuff I haven’t told my parents I could tell my brother because he was always there for me. This brought me close to my grandparents on both sides it woke me up I was close with my brother and all we had our good times and bad times like siblings do but it made me tell every family member I love you whenever we finish talking or our conversation. I might even slip and tell people I don’t know I love you because it’s stuck with me ever sense that happened. Also when my grandfather passed away his name was Daniel Hicks. He passed recently June 29th 2017. He was my bestfriend and this death brought me close to my grandparents I have in the living and my parents that I’m blessed to still have alive and even still communicating with each
