The word love is used very often by a wide range of people, they use it to say goodbye to their friends, hello to their pets and describe how they feel towards a significant other. When one word is used in so many situations how can someone be certain of its definition? Most people use the word such as “crush”, “lust” and “admiration” to replace the word love but these words don’t come close to the definition of the word love
The word crush is used by mostly younger people. It is used in situations when someone like someone else but is too afraid tell them. Crush should be used when the cutest boy in sixth grade smiles at a girl in the hallway and that girl runs to tell all her friends about how amazing the experience was and how much she likes him. They look up to them for the amazing things they have done for the world. Admeration is when someone stops world hungers and a person thinks, “wow! What a cool guy I want to be like him.” This word is the farthest off from love. When a person loves someone they should look up to them and think they are an amazing person but that is with a similarity ends. Someone could admire a person but not trust them or have no actual feelings towards them admiration is too narrow of a statement to be able to replace a word as expensive as love
The word love is an obvious need of a definition, to put simply love is when you like someone so much you couldn’t imagine your life without them. It’s love when you trust someone completly and like everything about them from the way they look to the way they make you feel. The word love should be used as a statement for example, “I love you” to describe the way you truly feel about someone. Love is a very important word and can mean a lot once said to someone so choose your use of the word love
