What is a home? What can be considered as home? If looked into a dictionary you would find the answer to be as, “the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household. ” Although, for some who have had a home or an apartment necessarily know that the place does not make it a home. People often say home is where the heart is. A home is a place where one feels comfortable; it’s a place that reminds of the countless memories created as a person grows up. Home is more than just a structure with four walls; home is an environment where one can feel free. Home is where happiness and love are felt.
A family is what makes a place a home. A person could have every material thing in the world, a large bank account, a beautiful house, and exotic cars, yet they all would mean nothing without having someone to share it with. Home is a common place where all the people who mean and care the most to you come and unite together. Home is a where a person can share and exchange stories, laughter, and sadness with their loved ones, where memories are made along the way. Home is not tangible. No one can see it or touch it but, however; they can always feel it within. You feel it when you’re with your loved ones and with people who care about you. I feel it every time I visit this old café near my house, back in Dubai.
