Nevertheless, to their amazement, physical and emotional healings occurred. We as Christians seek healing, but many times do not seek a greater relationship with Christ. This is self-centeredness rather than Christ-centeredness. We are not to live in chapter seven of Romans, but in chapter eight, which is walking in the Spirit. Forgiveness

Throughout High Noon Religion is present with the sounds of the church bells ringing as the three men part of Frank Millers crew ride into town. The church choir is heard throughout almost the whole movie. Also while the three men ride through town a woman makes the sign of the cross as the men pass her (High Noon, 1952). This opening scene can be interpreted as God being needed and called upon because of the presence of something that is evil and extra help will be needed. The church choir that can be heard could also be interpreted as Gods presence through the movie.
I constantly stay ‘plugged into’ my recovery community in a variety of different ways. I know that it plays a huge part in my personal recovery in helping me stay clean and sober. A few of the ways I am able to stay connected are through hospitals and institutions, as well as picking up service commitments at my home group. I am a big advocate of H&I’s because they were a key component of my recovery when I was in treatment. I was tremendously inspired when I heard someone who was doing well in the outside world share their experience, strength, and hope.

What does nursing mean to me? Nursing means helping people heal, meeting their needs while they are in your care, listening to concerns, protecting them from harm, and educating them how to care for themselves while treating them with dignity, compassion and respect. Nursing is giving of yourself to the care of people and community, while expecting nothing in return. It is having compassion for people and their health, being a humanitarian, and making sure patients receive the best care possible. Nurses must also deal with families of patients with gentleness and kindness, realizing they are going through a stressful situation also.
When exploring what is health, it looks at the idea of an individual being free from illness or injuries (World Health Organization 1948). WHO further explains that it is the state of complete: physical, mental, and social well-being and not the absence of disease or infirmity (health context, 2018) In 1986 during Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion, WHO said health is a resource for everyday life, not the objective of living, also is a positive concept emphasizing social, personal resources, and physical capacities. There are different aspects that contribute and impact a person’s health such as their: family and friends, education or job, body, spirit and mind, and all these need to balance to ensure good health (health context, 2018).
