Love is rarely defined because everyone experiences it differently. What one person thinks is love, another may think is infatuation or vice versa. Some people search a lifetime for love, whereas some people fall in and out of love on a regular basis. Everyone has felt love at one time or another, be it a person or non- living object. We can love many things, but the love between two people is unique. Love can be affection in many forms, we need to first understand the types of love: there is friendship love, romantic love, or love for a hobby or food you enjoy. Love is defined as having affection or liking someone but isn’t that what friendship is supposed to be? Being attracted to that person can both be ideal in friendship-love relationship. Friendship love is loving your friend but also knowing the boundaries of loving them more than just a friend. Sometimes being friends with someone can make you want to be more than just friends. You have to ask yourself “can I picture holding hands, cuddling, and kissing with this person”? Those characteristics are things you do when you love someone. You go to the club with your friends to meet people you want to potentially date. Though romantic love and friendship love can often be mistaken for one or the other because they seem so close in relation. They both need security, affection, trust, and sharing. They run parallel but there is a reason why that someone is just your friend and not something more.
