Some say love is like a rose, and just like every rose, love is beautiful. But don’t forget every rose has it's thorns. Love can be unforgiving and ruthless, but at the end of the day it should be about spending time with the one person you admire most. Some people spend their whole life looking for what they seemingly think the definition of love is but they never find what they are looking for. On April 9th, 2015, I found what some people don’t find in a lifetime. Love. When you’re looking to hard for your significant other, that is when you will never find them. But we got this idea that we would stop at what the locals know it as “Uptown”. All it is is a gigantic parking lot in the center of Carrier Mills but that is where we went to all get together and hangout. During the day it may just look like a parking lot, but by nightfall it looks like a used car lot. Kids from all around come to hang out with everyone and shoot the bull. I know you’re asking yourself “What does any of this have to do with love?”. Well little did I know that was the night that would change my life forever. Shortly after pulling up to uptown my buddy Jonathan Smith aka Johnny called me over to his truck nicknamed “ the candy shop”.
