Dehumanization In Night By Elie Wiesel

Evil is around every corner, always skulking about. It is the process of dehumanization that makes possible the evils of war, and desensitizes the victimizer to smaller evils committed on a daily basis. Dehumanization occurs in Night and in “Pirandellian Prison” and also on the Internet. Evil is everywhere no matter where you go either something will be bad or someone will be bad. Some people have fortitude to withstand the punishments that the guards did to the prisoners. Whenever we try to do something good we either fail or succeed and when we try we know that we put all of our effort in but the reason we sometimes fail is because there is always evil lurking around and it always gets to use when we are most vulnerable.

Dehumanization can be seen in the book “Night” When the Nazi’s made the Jews and other people work their butt off until they became useless. Elie was always hard on himself and said “One more stab to the heart, one more reason to hate. One less reason to live.” (Wiesel) it must’ve been really hard for a kid to give it their all and then give up on the one thing that he believed in, his faith. Elie said “Never shall I forget those moments that murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to ashes.” (Wiesel) That is when Elie just gave up on everything reason to live, reason to pray, reason for anything, He was a victim of the Holocaust also he was sent to a concentration camp just like everyone else and everyone else has their own story about the Holocaust, Elie was just a boy when all of this happened no one knew a lot about early on and lost his father a few years later during the Holocaust and its a lot to go …show more content…

About a week ago someone broke into icloud accounts and stole pictures of women and posted them online. Some of the people were famous like the actor from The Hunger Games Jennifer Lawrence and Super Model Kate Upton. Mcdonough says “Women should have stronger passwords or that they just shouldn’t be taking nude photos” (Mcdonough) I personally think that passwords on phones will never be enough to protect your private life, anything that on the internet stays on the internet so don’t do anything bad then there is nothing to hide. Also the public says that passwords are not going to protect you, your passwords are for kids and amateurs its just better not to take nude pictures of
