Romeo recently killed Tybalt who murdered Mercutio. Romeo has been exiled by the prince. In Act 3 scene 2, Juliet and her nurse are informed of this incident and are in Juliet’s bedroom weeping. Juliet is upset because of her cousins death and the nurse informs Juliet that “Tybalt is gone and Romeo banished”((III.ii.75). Juliet then replied with a monologue about Romeo.
Shakespeare utilizes positively connotated diction in Romeo and Juliet to convey Romeo’s blithe tone about the possibility of seeing Juliet. Before the arrival of Balthasar, Romeo fantasizes about seeing Juliet and says, “Ah me, how sweet is love itself possessed / When but love’s shadows are so rich in joy!” The use of the phrase ‘ah me’ shows Romeo’s current feeling of joy at this moment. ‘Ah me’ in this example has a positive connotation.
In the famous play, Shakespeare utilizes asides to further inform the audience of the characters’ thoughts. In the second scene of the second act, where Romeo is in Capulet’s garden at Juliet’s balcony, Romeo states, “Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?” (2.2.40). Here, an aside is used in order to inform the audience of Romeo’s self-conflict. If the event occurred in reality, Romeo would not have stated the above because it is solitarily used to broaden the audience’s understanding of Romeo’s confusing relationship with Juliet.

Many scholars consider Shakespeare the master of figurative language. In Romeo and Juliet, he uses different forms of figurative language to help create tension and add to the tragedy.
“Learn to appreciate what you have before time forces you to appreciate what you had” (Unknown). In Act Three, Scene Three of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Friar Laurence expresses his distress towards Romeo’s recent behavior. In this monologue, the Friar believes Romeo should be thinking rationally to be appreciative of what he has. The use of figurative language in this outburst reveals how foolish and ungrateful Romeo has been.
Friar uses personification along with other literary devices that helps the reader understand the theme. In Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare uses elements of language in Friar Laurence’s speech to convey the idea that everything is both good and evil. In the first half of the soliloquy, Friar talks about the sky in a way that demonstrates how it is good and evil, like the light of the sun and the darkness of the moon. Friar starts his Soliloquy by saying, “The grey-ey’d morn smiles on the frowning night, Check’ring the Eastern clouds with streaks of light” (2.3.1-2).
In the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, I deduce that the male characters have made the most dramatic influence to its readers, thus far, in Acts I and II. In my perspective, the men bestow their standpoints profoundly and they are the initiators of numerous quarrels, which impacts the plot by amplifying suspense. To begin, Romeo commences conflict overall, by having the audacity to love the daughter of his sole enemy. "My name, dear saint, is hateful to myself, Because it is an enemy to thee. Had I it written, I would tear the word"(1024).
I think that allusions are a great tool for literature. They provide information such as what the character believes in and what society is like to the audience. I think that the Shakespearean audience would have understood the allusions because it is during their time period and they understand what everything is like. Yet, if this play was acted today, I don 't think that all of the allusions would be understood. This is because of how different the worlds are today.
Two star-crossed lovers who once caused so much commotion, brought peace to the rivaling families, with their passing. Romeo and Juliet is a tragic play written by William Shakespeare. The Capulet and Montague families have been rivals for years upon years. The quarrel was so big and continuous that it killed multiple people including the star-crossed lovers. In the end what brings the families together would be the death of their children.
The life and times of a prophet is similar to a minster today. Prophets were messengers of God, they spoke to the people of God as God directed them to. Unlike ministers today, God communicated directly to the prophets through direct contact, visions, dreams or He sent angels to deliver His message. God told the prophets were to go, what to do and want to say. At times, God did not communicate directly to the prophets, He also spoke directly to King David and King Solomon.

Also, the decisions they made and the problems they caused such as ruining true love.
In William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, there are several acts of impetuosity shown through several characters. Impetuous means marked by impulsive vehemence or passion which Romeo, Juliet, and the friar all display. The three of them believe they are doing what is best for their situations, but in reality they are adding to the plot of the demise of the two lovers. In the play, the three characters Romeo, Juliet, and Friar Lawrence act on impetuosity, which leads to the final tragedy of the play.
In William Shakespeare's play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, the use of multiple literary devices makes the play interesting. Dramatic irony, which is when the audience knows more than the characters, occurs numerous times throughout the play and grabs the attention of the audience. Soliloquies, which are lengthy speeches by a character to project their thoughts and emotions to the audience, this allows the audience to be more attentive. Allusions are references by characters to well-known places, events from myths or other literature that cause the audience to be absorbed into the play. After reading this marvelous play, it is obvious that Shakespeare uses dramatic irony, allusions, and soliloquies all written in blank verse to grasp the undivided attention of the audience.
Miscommunication in Romeo and Juliet Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Every violation of truth is not only a sort of suicide in the liar, but is a stab at the health of human society” (The Best Quotes About Lies and Lying). People in this world lie all the time because they think that they are helping instead of telling the truth. When the truth comes out in the society people are more hurt than if a person just told the truth instead of lying. In William Shakespeare's, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet die from miscommunication between the characters, not fate.

It is so relatable till date because people fall in love now as Romeo and Juliet did, families fight, as the Montagues and Capulets did. We can relate to each character in some. Which is what makes this play so compelling and lets it live, five hundred years later. Romeo and Juliet is a tragic tale of two lovers, separated by an epic feud of their two houses (Romeo a Montague and Juliet a Capulet.)
