Hosseini, MDM is a professor of clinical oral and maxillofacial surgery at Temple University School of Dentistry. His is involved in curriculum development, outcome assessment, and integration of technology in education. The chapter on dental implants in Darby and Walsh book discuss different types of dental implants and osseointegration of implants, diagnosis and dental hygiene care of peri-implantitis, and its management. The article provides an unbiased study of assessment of bone level around implant. The study also included inter-observer and intra-observer reliability during the analysis. Material and methods used to examine the bone around 29 implants in 17 patients with standardized digital intraoral and digital panoramic radiographs.
