Answer: I am one who is easily persuaded and hesitant to make decisions. I am a lover of animals, sunflowers, and nature. I love to run, but I love to eat more. I am a daughter, an older sister, girlfriend, and a student. I was born in Knoxville to a family that always showed their love for me. My younger sister and boyfriend are the two closest people in my life. I do not know much about my ancestry other than my father’s mom is half Cherokee. Each home has their own social norms that are unique to their family. My mom and dad influenced those norms, helped shape me to behave in a certain manner, and instilled core values in me that I am appreciative for. I moved schools a lot, so school and peers were also a major agency of socialization. Moving around caused me to adapt to the different norms of society based on each place I was living at during that time. Media has been and still is a major agency of socialization in my life because with the technological advancements and social media it is easy to communicate and learn the newest trends. Media effects how I behave because I may be doing something fun with my friends and pause to take a “selfie” because that is what social media is for. My mom and dad were in their early teens when they got pregnant with me. My mom will tell you that she did not marry my dad just because she was pregnant. They were fifteen and sixteen when they got married and statistically the odds were against them; however, my parents showed that with hard work, love, and forgiveness it is possible to beat the odds. I was taught that marriage is a sacred promise and that promises were not meant to be broken. However, sometimes living in an unhealthy marriage calls for an exception of a divorce. If it makes two people happier to get a divorce, then I have no problems with it. In the same idea of cohabitation and same sex marriage, if everyone involved in the relationship is happy and healthy then I have no issues with either. Cohabitation can be financially cheaper on some couples. Our country is based off freedom, we are all free to love and be with whoever we want. My view on same sex marriage is that if it allows for two people to be happy then I am happy. I think that growing up in an open-mind household and living in a contemporary society influenced my views on these
