How would you feel if you were treated differently because of what you believed in? Well in 1933-1945 the Jewish people were singled out with the Star of David. They were discriminated against for believing in something different and were labeled with the Star of David. The Jews may have been singled out using the Star, but they still used the symbol on all their building and places of worship.

The Star of David is important because it comes from the Jewish King David. He was one of the most important person in Jewish history. The Star originally comes from his shield, his shield had the Star of David on it. The Star of David represents Jews and their unified nature. It was also once known as Solomon’s Seal. Everything he did was based off of God. He carried God’s star on his shield. When King David resigned as king, he died at age 70. After his death, since the people loved his so much they used his star to remember him. They placed the Star of David on all of their buildings and places of worship.

The Star of David has many meanings. Each point represents each different type of Jew, Kohanim, Levites, and Israel. The star is a very common symbol in the Middle East and in North Africa. The Star of David is made up of two triangles combined, and the top triangle points to G-d and the bottom triangle points to the human world. Jewish people are proud that they have something like the Star of David to represent their beliefs and ways of life. Most people, that weren’t Jewish, were biased towards the star because it represented Jewish beliefs and they disagreed with them.
