LUKE 7:

As I read throughout the chapter, I feel a rush of emotions. I feel very happy when Jesus makes a dead young man come to life again. He simply says, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”(LUKE 7:14. NIV) I become afraid. The word says that, when the world ends, everyone will come to life. Everyone who lived before will resurrect. I am afraid, because, as I read, I am realizing that this may be true. I can just imagine it. Everyone coming out of their graves, and standing up. They will be judged for everything they did while on earth. In a way, this quote leads me to realize that we will in fact be judged by God at one point. This idea frightens me, because I do not know what the future holds for me, and I am afraid to think that I may commit a mistake that may be unpleasant for the Lord.

I am very surprised by the actions of the Lord when John the Baptist sent men to ask Jesus if he was the one who was to come. Jesus immediately committed many sacred actions to prove to them that he was in fact the one. I am surprised by his actions, because shouldn’t Jesus be expecting that the people believe in him without proving anything? …show more content…

He says to the people, “I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he”(LUKE 7:28. NIV). From what I understand, is that John is greater that anyone else born from a woman, but the one who is the less significant in the kingdom of God is greater than John. This does not make sense, So is John a good individual or not? Jesus is saying that John is more significant than others on earth, but not so much in the kingdom of God. Who is Jesus specifically referring too? If Jesus is referring to God, the father, the son and the holy spirit, I understand it, but if he is referring to those who died and lived in earth, this means that John is not such a ‘great’ individual after
