Elliot had just entered the hospital doors when the nurses escorted him quickly into his brother’s room. His brother, Franklin, was lying in bed and had tubes going in and out of him. The room had a distinguished smell of fresh paint. An eerie silence fell upon the room as the nurses backed out so they could talk to each other. “Hey Elliot,” Franklin awkwardly said, “how’s life at the mansion?” “It’d be better with company. How am I going to be able to save enough funds to pay off the bill? I can’t get a loan from anyone and you can’t help with getting the money because you’re stuck here in the bed,” Elliot replied, frustrated. Franklin’s eyes started closing, but he started mumbling.
