Despite Timmy’s young age, his harrowing appearance and sophisticated means of communication regardless of his age compelled the priest to offer his assistance. He asked Timmy to explain his circumstances, which he happily did. Timmy told him everything, from his father’s divorce to Sarah’s deathly nighttime appearance. Timmy and the priest, Father John, came to a consensus, Sarah was no ordinary ghost, she was a demon, and she needed to be removed from Lynda. Lynda must have been controlled by the spirit at a vulnerable time. Lynda is an emotional, broken lady. She is always vulnerable. John buckled Timmy into the passenger seat of his car, before the two headed back to Timmy’s household, fearful of the dark power awaiting their arrival. John and Timmy crept through the quiet household. Lynda was nowhere to be found. Sarah’s demonic voices muffled by Lynda’s pain induced yelling. Timmy worried for Lynda, but he stayed his ground. All the while, Father John read the ritual for the exorcism. It wasn’t until he brought out the holy water and said “begone evil spirit” that Lynda once again turned her attention to Father John. John flicked the holy water at her; the water burned Lynda’s skin; her face peeling to the floor as the two contested. Lynda’s body steamed with anger and hurt. Timmy’s eyes were fixed on the undertaking; he would occasionally mumble words of love to Lynda, attempting to caress her out of Sarah’s grasps. Lynda pranced on John, who reactively stabbed her in the thigh with a short knife. As if on impact, Lynda’s body hit the ground with a thud that shook the house.
