I read Diary of a Wimpy Kid Double Down, by Jeff Kinney. The book I read is mostly about Greg Heffley and how his mom wouldn’t let him play video games. Greg 's mom Susan Heffley won’t let him play video games because she thinks they rot his brain. I selected this book to read because it seemed interesting. Diary of a wimpy kid Double Down is also written by my favorite author Jeff Kinney. I believe the author 's purpose for writing Diary of a Wimpy Kid Double Down was for people to understand that electronics aren’t everything. One of the events that happened was when Greg was told by his mom “ video games turn your brain into mush”. Greg’s mom also tells him to explore his creative side but Greg already thinks he uses his creative side. …show more content…

Greg also talked about how cameras would follow him around. The third event that happened in my book was when Greg sent a balloon and this one kid named Maddox responded to his balloon but the kid popped the balloon so greg’s teachers didn 't believe him so they did not expect his entry. I found this chapter interesting because Greg 's teachers would not accept his entry because they thought he was lying even though he was telling the truth. The fourth event that happened in Diary Of a Wimpy Kid Double Down was when Greg heffley and Rowley Jefferson found a pack of gummy worms and thought of making a scary movie so they could get famous. I found this chapter interesting because it talked about how Greg and Rowley are going to make the movie and also how Gregs going to take the credit for it. The fifth event that happened in Diary of a Wimpy Kid Double Down was when Rowley climbed a tree because he got so scared that he thought the monsters in the movie were coming alive. I found this chapter interesting because it talked about how Greg Heffley could have become famous but Rowley took the credit because he was the one who climbed the tree.
