Lennie small was murdered near a creek outside of Soledad many days ago. He was killed by one gunshot wound to the back. The accused, George Milton is being charged with his murder. He is being charged with voluntary manslaughter because he killed Lennie while in a time of passion and out of sympathy for him.
In the book of mice and men there are two characters named George and Lennie. George and Lennie were robust friends and had known each other from a young age. They worked and traveled together. Lennie was not completely sane and couldn 't help it. In the book of “mice and men” Lennie murders a lady.
“In the end you should always do the right thing even if it’s wrong.” (Nicholas Sparks). Even though George didn't want to have to shoot Lennie it was the right thing to do even if it seemed wrong. In John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men two migrant workers named George Milton and Lennie Smalls face hardships and lonely times to get their own American dream only to find all things don’t turn out as you expected them to. George made the right decision to kill Lennie because they were best friends and Lennie kept causing George trouble it was his only option.
The novel Of Mice and Men poses a moral dilemma; is murder ever justified? Should George have murdered Lennie? George should have killed Lennie because worse things would have awaited him if he went to trial. George felt justified in killing Lennie because he felt he was saving him from a worse things.
George did the right thing by killing lennie. He was gonna get killed either way either the law or curly so it was better just to kill him there. Lennie was in danger and endangered others. So yes george did do the right thing by killing lennie and not making him suffer.
In the book Of Mice And Men by John Steinbeck, I believe that George did make the right decision to shoot Lennie, because of the relationship that they had. Previously learning from the experience Candy had when he let someone else shoot his dog, George knew that shooting Lennie was his job to do. In chapter three Candy says "I ought to of shot that dog myself, George. I shouldn 't ought to of let no stranger shoot my dog." , (John Steinbeck, 1973, p.58), this really impacted Georges decision on giving someone else the ability to shoot him.
"You see; I truly believe that murderers are mentally ill… their brains don't work like the rest of ours do. To deliberately kill someone requires crossing a profound boundary. Most of us couldn't do it. We couldn't even think about it. But they can.

In the novella Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, Lennie should not have been killed. He should have lived because he and his best friend had some great plans for the future. Lennie has mental disabilities, which is a major excuse for the things that he did, and he did not know the thing he was doing were wrong. “But he was too dumb even know he had a joke played on him. Why he’d do any damn thing I tol’ him” (Steinbeck 40).
In Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck many hard decisions were made. In this novel two Characters George and Lennie get kicked out of their last city and travel to soledad to start their new life. Lennie causes lots of commotion at the ranch which turns people against George and Lennie. At the end of the novel George kills Lennie which raises the question if he fairly weighed all of the options and if his choice was justified or condemned. One reason why this was a justified decision is that George only wanted the best for his best friend.
From the day that Lennie’s Aunt Clara died and from the day George took Lennie in as a friend George was always there for him. If Lennie did not have George, Lennie would have no one to protect him and save him from all of the bad things that he has done. Despite all of the dangers and problems Lennie got George and himself into, George benefited and also learned from Lennie’s mistakes. George needs his ignorant sidekick as much as Lennie needs George.
Imagine the scenario of this. An unstoppable, high-speed train is headed towards a person’s grandmother. In order to save her, they have to change the tracks, but that would mean killing the unsuspecting group of people walking over. They cannot stop the train. Who do they save?
If you had the choice to save your friend from misery by kill them. What would you do? In the story, “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck, opposite pair up like George Milton and Lennie Small. Both George and Lennie stick together like brothers through the rough times of the Great Depression.
George killing Lennie is justified. Lennie was either gonna get killed by the other men or George. The other men were only doing it because they hated Lennie, George would have done it for the sake of Lennie’s safety and mental state. George would have felt guilty if he did not handle it himself. One reason George was justified in killing Lennie was that George had realized Lennie would never get better and their dream would never come true.
In the novella, Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, George’s decision to kill Lennie at the end of the novel was justified. George and Lennie were best friends, and have been since they were little. They got ran out of Weed(the old farm they used to work at) for harassing a girl and not letting her go. He was just scared from her screaming and kicking. He didn’t mean to harm, or scare her.
