Descartes made many intriguing points during his meditations while rebuilding his knowledge about his existence and the existence of those and everything else around him. Once he contemplates his own existence, he reasons his idea of God. In doing this, he had to think in a very out-of-the-box kind of way to come up with his conclusion. I do not agree with Descartes’ theory that God exists. His reasoning, however, is very convincing and should be noted. Descartes uses his new knowledge of his existence as the basis of his argument that God exists. Where exactly did this devil come from and why would God make these people the way they are if they are in fact so imperfect that they are destined to be sent to this treacherous reside? He also creates sinners which in most religions if too many sins are committed, you do not get to go to heaven (or whatever amazing afterlife you were promised with God). God, being all loving and caring, would not create such a disastrous situation to begin with if he were in fact this unflawed being. This really makes me doubt his
