Brutus and the senators had made a plan to kill Caesar. Even though Caesar was his friend, Brutus joins the conspiracyagainst Caesar’s life because he feels that Caesar’s death is better for Rome. Brutus did not want to allow Caesar to rise to power and turn his back onto the people of Rome. Brutus felt like Caesar was being a dictator. “Which, hatched, would as his kind grow mischievous, And kill him in a shell” (2,1,33-34) Similar to how Cady, Janice and Damian made a plan to destroy Regina.
(3.2.101-4). His dramatics demonstrate to the crowd how they should feel, and they follow suit. Once the crowd feels sentimental about Caesar’s death, Antony commences his process of enraging them. While revealing Caesar’s dead body, Antony utilizes loaded language to demonize the actions of the conspirators, Brutus in particular. He claims, “Through this the well-beloved Brutus stabbed; /
Julius Caesar was a powerful general and politician of Rome. He had many friends and many enemies as well. One of his closest friends goes by the name of Marc Antony who was not only the lover of Cleopatra, but another Roman general that worked under Caesar. As history states, Brutus, a senator of Rome, was frightened that Caesar would become too powerful and become King of Rome. In order to prevent this from happening, 60 conspirators, all led by Brutus, stabbed Caesar to death.
Eventually, the master manipulator Cassus tricked Brutus into joining the conspiracy, which led to Brutus’s death. Brutus was the noblest of all the conspirators, however the conspiracy lead to his fatal end. Brutus was pressured by a conspiracy made up with some of the most high powered citizens. These men were all of great nobility and were grouped together because they in general hated Caesar.
Brutus tried to persuade Antony that Caesar wanted to be king. Antony proved him wrong by bringing up Caesar rejecting the crown three times. Caesar’s intentions was not to be king or he would have already been king. Another reason they wanted to stab him was because they thought he was too ill. Even though he was ill he was still doing a good job as the general of Rome.
After Cassius presents the idea of murdering Caesar to Brutus, he begins to take his manipulation a step further by sending Brutus forged letters from other senators. The letters leave Brutus to believe other senators
When Brutus was talking to the conspirators Brutus was going back and forth think if he should help the conspirators kill Julius Caesar. He was going back and forth because he was thinking of the power he could have and could rule Rome. The reason behind Brutus killing Caesar was for the better of Rome. If Brutus would not have killed Caesar, Rome would have turned into a dictatorship, and in turn it would have ruined Rome and all of its people. Brutus did not kill Julius just for the power to rule Rome, he killed Julius to save Rome from Caesar’s dictatorship.
During the meeting with the Conspirators at his home, Brutus says to them, “No, not an oath” (II.i.125) because “what other oath” is better “than honesty to honesty engaged” (II.i.137-138). Brutus believes they do not need to pledge an oath because he already thinks they are loyal to Rome and that none of them will “palter”. Even before getting to know the rest of the conspirators, he already assumes that they are all there to plan the assassination of Caesar in order to make Rome a better place. All the conspirators, excluding Brutus, have a personal reason on why they want to kill Caesar, whether it is out of envy or pure hatred, but Brutus does not see that they harbor strong resentment towards Caesar. When the conspirators were talking about killing Caesar, Cassius brings up that they should kill Antony too, but Brutus dismisses that notion by claiming that “Antony is but a limb of Caesar” (II.i.179).
And while Brutus did work in part with other conspirators, which eventually led to him killing Caesar, he did it for a more morally sound reason which was that Caesar was going to cause the downfall of Rome because he was too ambitious, which is ironic because Caesar's death led to a string of unfit leaders, and civil unrest that eventually led to the downfall of the roman empire. Brutus was also focused on preventing corruption. “The name of Cassius honors this corruption,/ And chastisement doth therefore hide his head (IV.iii.15-6)... Remember March, the ides of March remember./ Did not great Julius bleed for justice' sake” (IV.iii.18-9).
Cassius and others wanted Brutus, Caesar's dear friend as well as the rest of the conspiracies. These people had planned to kill Caesar as he sat in the podium at a senate meeting. Before any of this happened Caesar was told "Beware the

Summary: The two armies meet up to discuss the following war. After the argument, they head towards their own sides to prepare. Brutus then tells Messala to ride towards the other forces for a surprise attack. Cassius sees his army being killed and kidnapped and says he’s seen enough. So, he asks Pindarus to kill him when he cannot go any longer.
Cassius influenced Brutus to conspire against Caesar by stating, Caesar “is now become a god… and his name has been sounded more than [Brutus’s]” (Act 1, Scene 2, Line 118-145-6). Cassius’s arguments convinced Brutus in proving Caesar's murder would be just, but Caesar’s death is unjust because he is being murdered out of Brutus and Cassius’s jealousy. Both of the individuals are envious of the power that Caesar is being given by the people of Rome and want to end his life before they will lose their own power in the senate after Caesar becomes king. Brutus’ naive mind was easily convinced by Cassius that Caesar was not the best choice to assume the Roman throne because he would not listen to their political thoughts.
The stage directions say that ”CASCA first, then the other Conspirators and BRUTUS stab CAESAR” (Shakespeare). All of the conspirators were responsible for the death of Julius Caesar. Each conspirators stabbed him many times, including Cassius, ultimately making partially him responsible for his death. After the stabbing, Cassius says “Some to the common pulpits, and cry out Liberty, freedom, and enfranchisement! '’ (III,I, 88-89).
