Was it a good idea to kill Julius Caesar? Julius Caesar was the general of Rome. Although he was a well respected person in Rome he was not loved by all. The senators of Rome got scared that Julius Caesar would become king and turn Rome into a monarchy. So they killed him. Even after the senators got what they wanted and killed him the aftermath didn’t go their way. With the aftermath the community was plunged into chaos. Julius Caesar should not have been stabbed because he was loved by many and he was stabbed for wrong reasons. Caesar was beloved by many people. At Caesar's funeral the people of Rome turned against the senators. Mark Antony helped persuade the crowd by pulling out Julius Caesar’s robe and will. He showed that Caesar’s robe had many stab wounds and that Caesar’s will was very generous to the people of Rome. Caesar left land to the poor people of Rome. The will showed that he was kind. The robe showed that he was stabbed in the back by the senators. After the funeral the community was plunged into chaos. The citizens were relentless and stopped at nothing to kill all of the senators. It resulted with innocent people dieing. Brutus tried to persuade Antony that Caesar wanted to be king. Antony proved him wrong by bringing up Caesar rejecting the crown three times. Caesar’s intentions was not to be king or he would have already been king. Another reason they wanted to stab him was because they thought he was too ill. Even though he was ill he was still doing a good job as the general of Rome. He still had the respect of most of the citizens of Rome. He had no respect from the senators. One bad thing is that no one will ever know Caesar’s full potential because they killed him. These are the worst reasons to kill
