Justified Killing Throughout time, many decisions have been made, some small like where to go to eat dinner, and others big like whether or not you should buy a particular house. However, being every decision is a person who persuaded you to make that decision, whether it be yourself or someone else, some sort of thinking went into the decision. Roy E. Disney once said, “When your values are clear to you making decisions becomes easier.” Brutus and Antony both attempted to make the people of Rome make a decision through their speeches. Both Brutus and Antony had great speeches, however each one had a different style of how it was presented, and its effectiveness. He gave many good reasons for his actions, however he just had their heads on his side he didn’t get their emotions on his side though. He first used ethos when he said “Believe me for mine honor, and have respect to mine honor.” (III, ii,15-16). He was basically saying that he is an honorable man so the people shouldn’t be mad at him even though he committed murder. He then throws out a red haring by saying that “Had you rather Caesar were living, and die slaves, then that Caesar were dead to live as free men?” (III, ii,23-24).
