Bryce Louviere Mrs. McLellan English III 8 Mar 2023 In the story “Of Mice and Men”, George and Lennie have a friendship unlike many others. These two do everything together; however, George thinks that Lennie holds him back because Lennie is always getting in trouble. Even Though Lennie holds George back, he knows that Lennie wouldn’t know what to do without him, so they just stick together. Lennie states, “because I got you to look after me, and you got me to look after you” (Steinback 14). Although George thinks that he could do better without Lennie, they will always have each other back no matter what. When George mentioned to the other farm workers that he and Lennie travel together, many of them were surprised because that is not common.
