A sport started in 1839, more than 150 years ago, is still very prevalent in today’s society. It is the eleventh most popular sport in the world. Played in 48 of the 50 states and is watched by people in all of the states. High schools all over the United States play baseball and it’s counterpart softball. One of the largest high school baseball and softball debates is when should the season be.

This is shown when the author describes Miyaoto as physically strong and "imperial bearing". The author then begins to describe the courtroom and the audience of the courtroom to display the setting and surroundings around Miyamoto. Furthermore, the author describes the cold and snowy outside of the courtroom, which grabs the attention of Miyamoto and how he sees the beauty in the seasonal weather to show the other side of Miyamoto.
The first reason softball is harder than baseball is because of hitting. Most college softball pitchers pitch the ball up to 70 mph from 37 feet away, from that distance it takes the ball 0.35 seconds to cross the plate.
