Books and movies are great sources of entertainment, but very different. Books use descriptive text to bring the story to life and create imagery for the reader, however, movies supply the visual for the audience. Most of the time when a book becomes popular like outsiders by S.E Hinton it becomes a movie. The book and the movie are two very different stories, the movie is not very descriptive but it does get the point across. There are many similarities between the book and the movie but in my opinion, the book is by far the best. Three differences between the book and movie are that it was raining during the rumble, they didn't show Pony boy failing in English, and in the movie, they never showed the trial.
