This is my writing assignment comparing The Outsiders movie and book. My favorite quote was“Stay gold Ponyboy” which means Do not go tuff and stay like yourself because you are once in a lifetime. My opinion of both the movie and the book are pretty good. The book was only a little better because it was longer and it had more parts on the other hand the movie you can hear and see more and feel more when you can actually picture it.
One thing that is different in the movie then the book is the Soc’s drive a blue mustang in the movie, but in the book the Soc’s drive a red corvair. Another thing that is different is the vacant lot in the movie is a dirt lot that is surrounded by trees, grass, and bushes with a rode that drives right by it. But in the book the vacant sounds like a old lot that was used for parking cars like at a school u got a parking lot for cars, so that's what i think of it when the story was talking about a vacant lot. In the book when the rumble went down the authors described it as a fight in the dark with gang against gang. The Outsiders has many differences between the book and the movie.
My class and I just finished reading the book “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton, and watching the movie. There were way more events in the book than in the movie. The movie seemed way shorter than the book. The book seemed way more entertaining to me than the movie. They were both great but the book was just a little better than the movie.
There are comparisons and contrast in the movie and the book “The Outsiders”. For example in both when Ponyboy and Johnny run away from after killing Bob they go on the train to the abandoned church in both. They are similar because in the story and movie Johnny kills bob then runs away with Pony. They go to Dally where he gave them a pistol and told them to jump on the train and get off at the second stop Windrixville and go to the abandoned church on top of jay mountain. Another example of similarities between both is they still have all the main characters in the greaser gang.
The book told more details and made the important things pop out. The movie left out a lot of the little things that made a big difference overall. The book of The Outsiders and the movie of The Outsiders had several things in common, but there were also things left out from one that was in the other. In the book, it says that Dally’s hair was blonde, but in the movie it showed him with brown hair.

I say the movie is better than the book because it has more details
As I watched The Outsiders movie I realized that there were many differences and similarities to the book. Overall, me being picky, personally thought that the movie was different from the book. I liked the movie, however, I think that I would probably like the movie better if I hadn’t had read the book, that way I would feel so strongly about the who I think the characters are. The scenes were pretty accurate to the book in the movie and there weren’t a lot of scenes that were different, or not in the movie. One of these times was in was in the rumble when it started raining, even though it didn’t in the movie.
The intensity, the actions, the personalities in the movie was much different than in the book. The book explained all of these a bit more than the movie in a better way. The one reason why character development is better in the book is probably because the actors for the Outsiders had mediocre acting skills, and the reason for that might be that the actors were all young in the career in
A book and a movie can be both the same and different. In The Outsiders there are many similarities and differences with the book and movie. They were the same because Johnny kills a man, they cut their, there was the movie scene, and Johnny and Ponyboy went to the church. Some of the differences is when Darry slaps Ponyboy but in the movie he pushes him, Johnny doesn't bring a lot of food in the book but does in the movie he does, when Johnny killed the man it was more described but it wasn't in the movie, and Johnny says he wants to kill himself in the movie. The movie is both funny and action packed but the book is more detailed. So I enjoyed the book more. The film forgot a lot of characters and changed many scenes and it really frustrated me. Also in the book you can see more character development. Even though the film was not exactly like the book the director did a great job, and this still is one of my favorite movies.
The Outsiders: Compare and Contrast In the novel “The Outsiders,” by S.E Hinton and the movie by Francis Ford Coppola have numerous similarities and differences. Our thoughts on these particular aspects are very diverse as the universe is. Many things have been either left out or diminished from the movie, which makes it less interesting as the suspense lessens as you have finished reading the book. Although this might be the case, there were also many similarities between the two sources.

In addition to that, other counties and outside of brothels where prostitution is legal, “prostitution and solicitation are considered a misdemeanor crimes” in state of Nevada.
