Per the text, health care consumers vary in their willingness to adopt new product offerings, with some being quicker to adopt than others. Suggest the key reasons why you believe these variances exist. Provide a rationale with at least (1) example of a situation or scenario that would support your response.
Although healthcare is very dynamic industry, still the consumer’s willingness to adopt to new product or service offerings varies. This variation can be attributed to several factors, and the most notable factors are:
Relative Advantage – Relative advantage of the new healthcare product or service offering as compared to the existing products or services directly influences adoption. If the product or service demonstrates clear advantage it …show more content…

If the product offering is easy to use it will be quickly adopted by the customers and if the product is complex, it will have a slow adoption rate.
Trialability – Ability to test the product before actual purchase also influences product’s adoptability. If the product offering can be tested on trial basis it will have higher adoption rate while if customers are unable to test the product it will have slow adopting rate.
Example:
If a healthcare company launch new Blood glucose monitoring which is compatible with existing stripes, it will be easily adopted by the most of the diabetic patients because it of the convenience of compatibility they don’t need to worry and can test with the stripes which readily available in the market.
