Direct And Indirect Characterization Of Mabel Simmons

Mabel Simmons (Madea) is an elderly African American woman who supports and cares for her family while ruling with an iron fist and sharp tongue.Behind the scenes of madea is a talented man , Tyler Perry. He created Mable Simmons (Madea) as a funny and caring person. Tyler Perry is an American actor, director, screenwriter, playwright, producer ,author, and songwriter. One of Madea character trait is hilarious, she makes everybody laugh in the movie and the people that are watching the movie. Madea is an indirect character because she shows her personality and what she made of. She likes to make people laugh , and have a good time. She don’t like to see people with frowns on their faces. Madea is also independent, she doesn't need nobody with her or help her with anything . She is a woman that has everything on control because everyone looks up to her. The way I remember the difference between direct and indirect characterization is that direct means telling while indirect means showing. Finally, Madea shows who she really is deep down . A godly woman , she tells everybody in the story what she been through and how God helped her

She haves a mind of her own and shows it all. As I read online the only thing that changes with Madea is her family , in every story Madea family gets larger and larger . An Example is when At the beginning of the story madea had heard that her niece (Shirley) was sick ,so she had taken a part to help out getting the family together. Another example is when everybody sat down at the table and madea had made the choice for everybody to tell their problems and why are they mad at each other. The last example is when after Shirley had passed away , madea had helped everybody become a family as one instead of being mad at each other. Madea had a major role in Big Happy Family and it was to help her family like
