There are certain women who made barrel racing not only their passion, but their career, too. I think it is extremely interesting how far it came from when it first began. In earlier years, barrel racing was just a game people
There are many similarities and differences between the “Back Roads” by Vinnie Rotondaro and “A Winter’s Drive” by ReadWorks. Some similarities between the two stories are how they both have a similar theme about life and put a lot of meaning to a simple drive. One difference between the two stories is how they both have a different mood, like how in the “Back Roads” the mood stays the same, while the mood in “A Winter’s Drive” changes in the story in order to create the theme. First the theme between “Back Roads” and “A Winter’s Drive” are very similar because they both have to deal with parts of a person’s life. I am writing to you as a sophomore at the Urban School of San Francisco which is located right in the Haight/Ashbury neighborhood, famous for the Summer of Love which I’ve noticed you mentioned in some of your poems including “Staff SGT. Metz”. I have lived all my (short) life in San Francisco which has both been interesting and felt claustrophobic at times. Before I found your poems, I wasn’t so into poetry in generally didn’t enjoy writing poems.
"Hey boss, how far do you think we'll get today?" , I asked. "We'll keep going until the sun sets", the trail boss said with an annoyed look on his face. This being my first cattle drive, I didn't know what to expect or what it was going to be like. I also didn't get much respect.
Not only has the progression of the program excelled throughout the century, but it has also flourished in constructing the lives of those who are a part of it. I can only imagine what the next 100 years will bring to the course. However, using my previous knowledge of how this program has progressed, I can infer the future of the curriculum will continue to prosper . Young cadets will be faced with new challenges and lessons that my generation will wish we had.
It always makes me happy to see the young kids getting into it at a young age like I did. I would like it as a way to give back to the sport being a show model for others to learn from. Something that could hold me back from completing my is that I could get in a car wreck and be paralyze so them I would not be able to drive and that would burn my goals of ever making it to the major leagues of racing and being able to follow the footsteps of my hero. Or even the chance of a stroke could also destroy my goals of racing. There are so many thing that could keep me from reaching my goal.
