10/31/2016 Disability Interviewing someone with a disability that is in no way "normal" is what most would call a "unique" experence. Kelsey reports her younger sister Mia and herself would hide in their bedroom because their parents would always fight and argue over something as small as why the dishes are not done, and as big as the money problems they're having. Kelsey remembered how hard that was on her mother to go through and how hard it was on her life as well. Kelsey reported that she had to mother her little sister for the longest time because clients father left them her mother wouldn’t come out of her room for more than half day for years.

Kelsey always states that it is her mothers fault that she feels the way she does. She never really takes blame for her own actions and never states, "I feel this way because I don’t want to change my thinking". Posting blame on everyone but herself is where she is most comfortable at.

Retrieved April 21, 2016 it talks about posting blame on others and how to take reasonability for your own actions and feelings. If someone always blames others for their own mistakes or problems it can cause serious health issues such as heart problems, cancer, depression, which is why I also go to my next point as to why my client is struggling with depression as well.
Depression is not only effecting the person but also the people around. In the article Depressive disorders. (n.d.). Retrieved April 21, 2016 it talks about the signs and systems, cause and effects, and the gives in detail why and how someone could be depressed and my client fits all the criteria. The systems of depression is sadness, lack of self confidence, irritability, moodiness, anger and Kelsey presents all of these. In the article (Bipolar Disorder Signs and Symptoms), it talks about how someone struggles with bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression) and the systems. When having a manic episode someone might go shopping and spend all their money, quit a job, ect. Meanwhile while having a person having a depressive episode someone might not be able to get out of bed for days, may feel such self-pity and shame. Sad because he/she doesn’t have a job and no money coming in and feeling like their life is useless.
Bipolar disorder is often hereditary. Someone with bipolar disorder usually shows early signs in their early to late teenage years. Bipolar disorder is often looked over and misdiagnosed, but with the right doctors and treatment someone can live a normal happy life.
The cause of the disease hasn’t help my Kelsey any in her life because she seems to be feeling like she's crazy and like her life doesn’t make sense when in fact she isn’t crazy she just suffers from a mental disorder she cant help herself. Kelsey couldn’t help herself because she doesn’t know what she is suffering from. She doesn’t even know she has a mental disorder, so that has hindered her ability to seek
