Considering that there are more advantages to joining Confederation than disadvantages, Ontario should do so. There are a number of reasons why Ontario should join Confederation that will help the province. Ontario will be able to profit from Confederation's political, economic, and social advantages by joining.

If a province experiences a political deadlock, there is a possibility that the government will split along party lines, and the legislative discussions will become controversial. Deadlock will prohibit any forward movement, which will force a necessary action to be taken. Due to this, joining Confederation will give Ontario the chance to end the deadlock and establish a new, unified government.
