Research methodology is a method or technique to find out the outcome of a given problem on a specific matter that that is also referred to as research problem. In methodology, the researcher uses different techniques for solving the problem. In research methodology, researcher tries to find out the solutions in their own way. For finding or exploring research questions, a researcher experiences a lot of problems that can be effectively determined by using correct research methodology. (Williams, 2010).

The data was collected regarding the working pattern of employees during the whole year. The overtime design during the year was discussed.
Secondary source of data:
Secondary data is a data which is collected for a purpose other than the current research project. It is the data that has been already collected. For the project, secondary data was used. Books, journals and articles regarding overtime ere used.
There are both advantages and disadvantages of both the information.
Some Advantages of using Primary data are:
1) The investigator collects data specific to the problem under study.
2) There is no doubt about the quality of the data collected. If required, it may be possible to obtain additional data during the study period.
Some Disadvantages of using Primary data are:
1) The investigator has to contend with all the hassles of data collection- deciding why, what, how, when to collect getting the data collected personally or through others.
2) It is not easy getting funding and dealing with funding agencies and ethical considerations
3) Cost of obtaining the data is often the major expense in studies
