In New York City, there has been a rapid increase of racism against Muslims especially after 9/11. Many people have discriminated against Muslims after 9/11 mainly because they are vulnerable and look to the cause on how it started. It's not fair to look down upon Muslims about this event because not all Muslims are the same. NYC feels like anyone can terrorize the city and practically destroy it when it's almost impossible, especially with all these security buffs lately. The US stands for freedom and that freedom includes freedom of culture and religion so it is not fair for us to take it away from Muslims. Lately, there has been suspicion of Muslims with cops even spying into their temples. Called “mosque crawlers” with them spying inside their cop cars and even taking pictures and videos. There have even been NYPD remote control cameras, especially for mosques. The NYPD has even gone out of their way to go undercover to gain information in Muslim communities. All this is very unfair on Muslim privacy since they are invading the Muslim space and their way of life. Many Muslims have also been blacklisted in jobs. I decided to sit next to him because there was nothing wrong with him but the people on the train probably had another thought in their head. Many people in NYC don't even take the time to think about the situations of other people but themselves. 4 out of 10 people dislike Muslims and 46% think they are most likely to create violence.
