There is different perspectives of the benefits and effects that increase of population of a place can do. A place that provides both food and many other resources for people is a great thing because it gets other people’s attention. There is positive and negative effects that comes from this and it all depends from perspective. Depending on the action you take from the choice of place you pick you can have a different outcome from other people. Since there was many people coming in to Manchester that also meant that there would be more opportunities of jobs as well. With more jobs that means more productivity of factories which leads to people gaining wealth. There is different benefits from having a city grow because it means that people are showing interest of that place and that they are being forgetful. Unfortunately, it can lead to people not being to feel that the environment is healthy from the chemicals being released from factories and as well as social class. Macaulay the people had the choice to choose where they would like to live. People had different perspectives and morals from where they live and what the place could provide. The city would provide more resources and longer lives than living in the outdoors. In the picture from The Graphics it gives people a visual look from the place they could live in and what is provided from there. The two maps from Thomson shows that there is new transportation and more population in Manchester which means new opportunities.
