Friends Romans Countrymen Essay The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, a famous Shakespearean drama. This speech takes place on the ides of March. Caesar was stabbed by the conspirators after being warned numerous times by his wife and a soothsayer. When Caesar came to his death, it was a sad day for Rome. That day they lost not only a general, but a man whose job was to help the people. He was seen as an ambitious man who needed to be stopped.
