1. What measures would you employ to illustrate just how unequal America is? The measure I would employ in the illustration of how unequal America is would be the wealth distribution observed among different states. The inequality is especially demonstrated by comparing income generation of different families from different states.
I think of America as Saint Nicholas. America gives us gifts to each and every person in every generation since it has been founded. The gift of education, technology, safety, and protection against illnesses. Without these gifts, America wouldn’t be the same America it is today. It would be chaos.
Whether you know a veteran or not, they have impacted America in many positive ways. I know that I should stop and think about this more than I do, but I feel that Americans take their freedom for granted in most cases. I often stop and think about all of the things that are possible because of my freedom. My freedom allows me to wed a husband of my choice and someday have a family. I am able to go to college to pursue the career of my choice and interest.
To begin, inequality still exists in the United States today because of transgenders getting ban from the military. For example, Trump says that “the U.S government will not accept transgenders to serve in any capacity in the military and that the military should just be focused on the victory and not just by the disruption that transgenders in the military would entail.” This shows that Trump thinks that the LGBT community is a distraction to our society. Trump thinks that they aren’t capable of fighting strong and provide protection to our country. If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t be here.
Does inequality exist in America? Inequality endures on the grounds that that is the way of mankind. In each general public more mind boggling that seeker gatherers, i.e.: each general public in which it's conceivable to secure material riches, a few people will be preferred at it over others, some will be more brilliant, harder working, or essentially more fortunate, and get more stuff. To me an American is someone who can make a difference in the world, someone who can be a free citizen, born and raised in the United States. The idea that everyone around us is viewed equally, looked at from the same perspective. Segregation is a thing in the past, a place where people come to see fairness and equality among people. Yes, compared to past times fairness and equality in America is better but there are still many disagreements among jobs and schooling, and crimes that are viewed at differently by race. We are protected by the bill of rights which provides us with a lot of safety.
Although it may not be a problem that is evident to the common eye, the fall of the economy and of the middle class of America will have a negative impact on subsequent and future generations. As the economy continues to fall, ¨the wealth gap [will hurt] social mobility and [create] a less educated workforce¨ and society (Picchi, 2). As people of lower classes are placed at a disadvantage, with the lack of a proper education, they are not able to notice the problem created by the overwhelming gap in the wealth of the upper and lower classes.
