I feel that law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and courts do treat domestic violence as a serious crime. Domestic violence is one of the biggest issues that law enforcement deals with on an everyday basis. Which they should because, domestic violence could lead to worser things if not handled properly. They are quick to respond to theses types of issues as well, not saying they don't respond to all calls quickly, but they don't take this issue lately. It should always be in the back of an officer head when getting these types of calls, and that is someone could eventually get hurt bad. I do have a side that I've always had an issue with. That issue is that I've noticed that a lot of times when the domestic violence involves husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend a lot of times the man always seems to go to jail either way. …show more content…

I believe in that law enforcement needs to look farther into the situation before arresting the man just because a man is stronger and more powerful. Yes, I am a woman and I have never dealt with being involved in a situation like this, but I have seen a situation that turned out bad for the man. When the whole time the woman was the aggressor. In that case you observe that both individuals was involved in their actions of domestic violence; they both should be takened to jail. That is my opinion and I think it is only right. Now if the woman is just sitting there in puddle of bloods, bruises, and the guy seems to have no wounds then that is totally different; he would be considered the aggressor. Overall law enforcement is very strong about domestic
