Political psychology is a way to analyze political figures through the lens of a psychologist. Understanding the psychological aspects of national and international political developments is increasingly important in this age of international tension and sweeping political change. (ispp.org) It has been used to analyze almost every president in the United States. This will be a look into the mind of one of the most controversial President-elects in history. Donald Trump has such a tenacious personality that it 's almost comical, that is until he conveys something misogynistic and immoral in a speech or rally. Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, Neuroticism, Openness, and Extroversion. (Myers) In regards to Donald Trump, extroversion, agreeableness and openness are the three traits most prominently polar in his personality, meaning he is extremely on one side or the other on the spectrum. For example, he has very high and intense levels of extroversion. He is a relentless rewards seeker and biologically has high levels of dopamine present in his brain. For him the pursuit is almost more enjoyable than the actual reward, think journey over destination. An example is that he enjoyed campaigning seemingly more than the actual victory of the election. The thrill of name calling, debating and mudslinging is what engrossed him in the world of politics. Extroversion leads to making high-risk decisions, for example his bankrupt casinos, resorts and Trump University. All those were high-risk decisions which inevitably failed. What will happen if he makes a high-risk decision as president and it all goes to hell? Luckily high-risk decisions could also yield higher rewards which could reap benefits galore for our country. On the opposite side, his agreeableness is an all time low. High levels in agreeableness is seen as an equivalent to caring, loving, politeness, and kindness, whereas low levels corresponds to rudeness, arrogance, and lack of empathy for others. In the third presidential debate Trump interrupted Clinton 35 times in 90 minutes. (Independent) If Trump had a favorite word it would probably be “WRONG”. Low agreeableness is also viewed as untrustworthy which doesn 't bode well for the President of the United States. His lack of agreeableness is fueled by anger towards those who come between him and his goals or ideals, as Dan P. McAdams said, anger lies at the heart of Trump’s charisma and anger permeates his political rhetoric. From
