The Dover Intelligent Design controversy was all about policy introduction of the intelligent design into the biology syllabus. It was passed by the area school board in Dover, Pennsylvania. The initiative attracted both national and international attention in the media. The matter faced a lot of opposition which further led to parents from Dover in 2004 to file the issue in the federal court. They argued that introduction of the intelligent design into the biology curriculum was not scientific at all, and they were against it been taught in primary schools.
