In Light of Dr. Ford’s mission to help people help themselves and his commitment to leaving society better than the way he found it, she is committed to helping adolescents as well as his or her family to first believe in him or herself that they can become a better person and strive to be the best by pushing forward in reaching his or her goals. This essay will explain and define how this learner will help a youngster move out of the dark and come into the light by providing examples of how she will change these youngsters life This learner’s objective now and after she graduates with her dual Masters in Counseling Psychology and Child and Adolescent Development, her plan is to teach and guide an individual how to think outside the box. In addition, her current academic goal is to maintain a 4.0 GPA and not go under a 3.5 GPA. Furthermore, she learned to manage her home, her family, and her studies to maintain her grade point average at a 4.0. Moreover, she strives to be the best there is to help adolescent who are struggling academically because of family issues. Also to the children who experienced child abuse, feels neglected, and have no safe harbor, but the streets, to these youngsters, she would give her full undivided attention to help each individual acknowledge it is never too late to turn around and change one’s life. …show more content…

The learner believes in listening to these youngsters and placing herself in their shoes will help them see what they have done to their lives and if they continue to live the unhealthy life they are living they will end up somewhere they do not want to be. This is call empathy. The learner believes showing empathy will help others see
